The Government Critical Infrastructure Interoperability Interconnect (GCi3) was formed by Switch Communications Group to help foster dialog between colleagues engaged in providing critical services to the citizens of Nevada.
The GCi3 members meet to share ideas, explore opportunities to leverage resources, help each others with common goals, seek ways to provide to the community the very best solutions possible while lowering costs. By simply communicating; GCi3 finds ways to avoid the duplication-of-effort and waste.
The host and coordinator of the GCi3 is Jeff Ames, the CTO of Switch Communications. Jeff and his team provide the place, the food, and the warm environment. GCi3 membership is by invitation. The cost is $0. The benefits are immeasurable.
The meeting guidelines are simple:

- Found ways to eliminate or reduce costs for interconnections
between agencies.
- Established new lines of communication between colleagues
who may not have otherwis ever met.

thousands of dollar
- Open exploration that will lead to move savings.
- Established a path toward enhancing bandwidth cross-connections
while lowering connectivity costs.
- GCi3 meets every 2nd Tuesday, of each quarter, at 10AM, at the
NevadaNAP Building 4 at 4495 E. Sahara Avenue.
